In planning for the 2026 calendar year, Music Worcester approached Everett McCorvey to serve as its third artist-in-residence. He will also work within his residency with OpporTUNEity whose mission is to break the school-to-prison pipeline through music education.

Everett is the founder and Artistic Director of the American Spiritual Ensemble, a critically-acclaimed professional group dedicated to the celebration of the American Negro Spiritual, founded in 1995 with a mission of keeping the spiritual alive.
